Water Colors

Water Colors is the ultimate beach house for people who want the best! This 5 bedroom, 3-bath house can comfortably accomodate 12 people plus a baby in crib. The house is designed to please the most discriminating vacationer while enchanting its occupants with water color hues of blues, greens, and sand. The house is direct ocean front, six miles north of historic St. Augustine and approximately 12 miles south of Ponte Vedra Beach. The area is very private with only single-family homes and a few excellent restaurants; however, in minutes you can be enjoying all the activities, shopping, golf and other pleasures available in St. Augustine or Ponte Vedra.

Consisting of two floors plus the garage level, Water Colors offers fantastic ocean views from all rooms on the main (2nd) level. Here you will find a huge living room, separate dining area, eat-in kitchen, wet bar, and two master suites. A wrap around deck provides ocean access from the kitchen, living room, and both bedrooms. The living area boasts a huge sectional sofa, additional seating, tall game table, and TV/VCR/DVD. The lovely dining area with large glass table and 8 leather chairs occupies its own space next to the convenient wet bar. The kitchen is filled with walls of glass, making meal preparation a visual treat. It is open to the living area, separated only by a 12 foot by 4 foot granite counter. With brand new stainless appliances, gas cooktop, beautiful dark cabinets, and cozy breakfast area, the kitchen is the place to be!

The master bedroom contains a king size plantation bed, television armoire, complete computer center with high speed Internet and printer/fax, (plus a wireless connection so you can use your lap top throughout the house), private bath with whirlpool tub and separate shower, walk-in closet, and direct ocean access. The "junior master", on the other side of the house, has a king bed, cozy window seat, semi-private bath, walk in closet, and access to the deck and ocean beyond. Both bedrooms are furnished with high quality furniture and bedding, including down pillows and comforters and high thread count sheets.

The deck runs the length of the house and wraps around both sides to meet both bedroom suites. The middle portion of the deck is bumped out to  30 by 16 feet, providing a spacious area for entertaining and gathering. The oceanfront deck is fitted with a large dining table, separate tall bar table, and lots of comfortable chairs and loungers. A covered area off the master bedroom provides a respite for those who want to be outdoors but out of the sun. A short, private dune walkover leads from the deck down to the sandy, wide, car-free beach.

The lower level of Water Colors steps up the color palette to a refreshing and lively mix of aqua, lime,and white. A large game room, including sitting area, sleeper sofa, TV and pool table, provides a spacious place for various activities. Two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twins, are located on the front of the house. Off the game room is a small but delightful bunk room, a hideaway that our young guests adore. Outfitted with a bunk bed and slide-out trundle, TV with Play Station II, the space is perfect for rainy days and sleep over nights! Just off the game room is a small covered porch and access to the dune walkover above.

The double garage lies a few steps below the ground floor level. A two-person elevator is located there and ascends to the first and second levels. The elevator is perfect for those needing an assist, and it has proven extremely handy for transporting luggage and groceries as well.
